MAN-IN-THE-STREET

Works built from scraps of paper collected from pavements and alleyways. These are glued together, rubbed down and rebuilt into worn-out surfaces. Bleach, tar, earth, woodstain and paint are used to inscribe images of people redolent of those figures which throughout history -whether on the walls of prehistoric caves or of present-day housing estates - represent the human form at its most basic.
