Vagabondia, 2000, oil paint on hats
For centuries the held-out hat and the accompanying dog have symbolised the vagrant. In this piece of work these symbols are combined into a crowd of city wanderers: different personalities intent on action.

Rover, 2000, mixed media, each piece 36 x 48 x 14 cms
A view from street level. Again the dog as a city wanderer. In these mixed media constructions, images of dogs reflect upon homelessness and isolation in the big city. The dog appears as a symbol of the outsider: controlled and exploited but still retaining an independence of spirit. It has its own agenda, view and map of the city.
